I started out by taking a basic course in tax preparation in late 1983 just out of curiosity (was selling mutual funds at the time).  Since then my business now serves around 400 clients and about 40 formal business entities (partnerships and S-Corps); this excludes Sch C filers.

The clientele is made up of a wide range of occupations and income levels ($20k-500k).  There are several rental property investors, small business owners, teachers, salespeople, motor sports team employees, construction workers, professional service people, etc.

My upbringing taught me to treat everyone fairly and with respect.  There are no clients who complain when they know everything will be done legally to reduce their tax burden.  Personally, my own work experience includes 33 different jobs in a variety of occupations.  This helps in understanding a wide range of employment situations and respect for all types of work.

While I can help new individual tax prep clients, my main area of desired expansion is for small business owners who may take advantage of revised business structure and payroll services.  Let me know if you are self-employed and I can possibly show you how to save a significant amount of tax dollars.
